Characteristics of a good trainer

Good trainers all have the same characteristics. It’s what sets them apart from the rest. Here are some characteristics to look for when selecting a trainer for your project:

• Organizational skills to arrange and coordinate materials and set up the classroom, including multi-media equipment.
  
• Good Trainers have strong presentation skills
  
• Good time management skills
  
• An ability to build climate and rapport, and ask and answer questions
  
• An ability to read individuals and the group, respond to signs of difficulty, manage group dynamics, give meaningful feedback
  
• Lastly, another characteristic of a good trainer is that they need to have an understanding of the course content - especially the need-to-know content
